Live On 105.1FM WANB - Sunday Night from Six to Midnight

What’s Shakin’?

Since 1992, Greene County Gold has entertained and educated you with the music of the 1950s and 1960s every Sunday night on 105.1 FM/1210 AM, WANB, Waynesburg, PA.

From six to midnight your host, The Greaser, rolls back the clock to the golden age of rock, the years 1955-1970. The Greaser brings you the hits, the misses, and even some of the shoulda beens, plus lots of useless trivia about the songs, the groups and the era.

Greene County Gold celebrated it’s 20th Anniversary on WANB in 2012. Several loyal listeners delivered this special cake to The Greaser on Sunday, July 1, 2012. It looked almost too good to eat…almost…

Congratulations to Fawn from Greensboro, PA. Her entry was drawn from all of the correct entries submitted for June’s “Online Trivia Challenge”.  Fawn won a Family Four Pack of passes that can be used at Kennywood, Sandcastle or Idlewild Park!

June’s question:

On November 29, 1961, Enos orbited the Earth for an American first.  What made Enos so unique?

Enos was the first chimpanzee to orbit the Earth

We’ve posted a new “Online Trivia Challenge” for the month of July. The prize on the line: CD copy of the new Monkees release: “Good Times!”.  “Good Times!” is a 13 song CD that features all of the surviving members of the Monkees: Micky Dolenz, Peter Tork and Michael Nesmith.  It also features vocals that were recorded by the late Davy Jones back in 1967.  We’ll announce the winner’s name at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2016.  Best of luck to all of you!
